“Two coffins were broken and the jewelry that the deceased was wearing, which represents more than 300 grams of gold, according to the family that filed the complaint, were stolen.” the elected official added.

According to him, the family bought two new beers on Thursday to transport the remains and decided to seal the vault.

Identification technicians from the gendarmerie in charge of the investigation went to the cemetery on Thursday afternoon to carry out reconnaissance. “During 2019, several graves of this family of settled travelers, well known in the Roanne region, were victims of desecration and attempted theft.” concluded Laurent Beluze.
